5 stages is a series of artworks that portray the 5 stages of grief after you loose yourself due to a period of depression. It portrays the loss of oneself as well as the recovery by healing past trauma. Each stage, Loss ( denial), anger, barganing, depression and acceptance is portayed by an engraving encapsulated in epoxy resin, with strokes of paint around symbolizing the ciclic aspect of each stage. The encapsulation in epoxy resin symbolizes the permanence in time of this 5 stages which repeat themselves in diffrerent situations in life. Also it symbolices the permanence within the artist's life and her recovery.

The mobiles, are linked to each other by the photographs of the artist, two photographs separated in time which hold two of the saddest moments in the artist's life. She joins them by a poem written in the back of the photographs and encapsulated in resin, in her native lenguaje, Spanish, which revindicates the realization of that need to heal and questions which treats of her personality are hers or influenced by her surroundings.
